Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field and 4 years’ experience with commercial or corporate loans, spreading financial statements, or other directly related experience.
• Credit & Risk Analysis: Advanced knowledge of commercial loan types, credit analysis and underwriting, including the analysis of financial statements, cash flow analysis, collateral valuations, risk-rating methodologies, and loan documentation.
• Financial Spreading: Proven expertise in spreading business tax returns and financial statements, and personal tax returns and personal financial statements of guarantors.
• Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state banking regulations, commercial lending procedures, and strict adherence to internal credit policies.
• Portfolio Management: Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse commercial loan portfolio proactively and to monitor covenant compliance, perform annual reviews, and mitigate credit risk.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of transforming complex financial data into concise, well supported credit memorandums for presentation to Credit Administration.
• Systems Proficiency: High proficiency in advanced financial spreading software, modern Loan Origination Systems (LOS), and advanced spreadsheet modeling.

Responsibilities

• Credit Underwriting & Risk Analysis: Execute credit underwriting for new, renewal, and modification commercial loan requests, ensuring policy alignment.
• Portfolio Management & Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage an assigned portfolio, minimize credit risk, and perform annual loan reviews with covenant tracking.
• Relationship Management & Business Development Support: Partner with Commercial Bankers to identify loan opportunities, structure credit facilities, and maintain client relationships.
• Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and federal/state lending regulations.
