Summary

The Commercial Pool Construction Foreman will oversee onsite construction projects, supervising crews and performing hands-on work as needed. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction teams and oversee the building of large commercial projects valued between $1 million and $7 million.
• Coordinate effectively with employees, managers, owners, and clients.
• Manage all project documentation and reporting.
• Supervise construction crews, including laborers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Construction knowledge: layout, excavation, backfill, and site work activities.
• Structural concrete: forming, rebar, and pouring (note that shotcrete and large pours are subcontracted).
• PVC plumbing: installation and knowledge of sch 40 and 80 pipes.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Hands-on work: position is actively involved in onsite tasks; the level varies by project.

Location & Travel

• 100% onsite at construction sites.
• Approximately 75% of projects involve travel (more than 1 hour from residence); 25% are local.
• Projects are within a 5-hour radius of the office, averaging 2-3 hours travel.
• Additional pay for full-time remote work is available.

Travel Projects

• Local projects are paid for onsite work only.
• Travel projects require overnight stays; employee must be capable of travel, with a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle recommended.
• Travel benefits include weekly per diem and discretionary travel bonuses.
• Hotel accommodations are paid for by MLCP.
• Some travel projects involve four 10+ hour workdays with a three-day weekend.
