Job summary

Orkin is hiring in Kansas for a Commercial Pest Control Technician. You will receive award-winning training to protect customers’ homes and businesses on a designated route, operating a company vehicle safely and professionally.

You’ll engage with customers, explain actions taken, and discuss additional services to ensure peace of mind while meeting safety standards and maintaining documentation on a handheld device.

Qualifications

• Paid Training Provided.
• Experience in a service industry preferred.
• Experience in a driving/route-management role preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within first 90 days (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Complete training to learn the skills and knowledge to serve customers.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Follow a route and operation schedule within an assigned territory and ensure timely and safe arrival at each location.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy and Orkin Pro expertise to recommend solutions.
• Meet with customers in their business or home to explain actions and discuss additional services for peace of mind.
• Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer’s property.
