Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Clinton, NC is seeking a Commercial Specialist to support CPP-led commercial sales, coordinate deliveries from order to dispatch, and manage store vehicle fleet readiness. The role includes inventory awareness, upselling, and weekend coverage as needed to align with customer demand.

You will perform outbound follow-ups, assist walk-in customers, and help with backroom organization and storefront efficiency while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; MVR certification.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and manuals; basic math.
• Prior automotive parts experience and sales ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support CPP-led commercial sales.
• Assist with dispatching and coordination of commercial deliveries from order creation to dispatched for delivery.
• Manage store vehicle fleet maintenance, safety checks, and general vehicle readiness.
• Conduct account stocking visits and Pro Sales flyer drops.
• Perform outbound calls, follow-ups, and basic account touchpoints.
• Perform customer deliveries as needed following driver procedures.
• Lead the organization and maintenance around the parts department, backroom, staging, and delivery areas.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Lead commercial program when CPP is not present (weekends as needed).
