SP+ in Fort Lauderdale seeks a dedicated painter to apply coatings and finishes across commercial and industrial surfaces. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, protect surroundings, and ensure cleanups after each project.

This role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and adhering to safety guidelines. Typical duties include wall and floor painting, varnish application and caulking, with opportunities to work on varied surfaces and environments.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED required.
• At least 1 year of commercial painting experience; striping is a plus.
• Must complete jobs timely and be detail oriented.
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint to surfaces such as floors, curbs, walls, doors, cabinets, etc.
• Mix, match and apply paint, varnish, enamel and other finishes.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, priming or sealing.
• Protect surfaces with cloth or plastic coverings.
• Fill cracks and joints with fillers using caulk gun or putty knife.
• Use a spray gun for large jobs.
• Climb ladders to reach high ceilings or walls.
• Clean up equipment after job completion.
