POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Operations Analyst to join our team in North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sales organization by providing critical business insights, process optimization, and system management. This role requires an individual with expertise in the VIP (IDIG) platform, KARMA app, and the 3-tier system applied to the wine and spirits industry. A strong background in wine & spirits is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Sales organization by analyzing commercial data and providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
- Utilize the VIP (IDIG) platform and KARMA app to monitor and manage commercial operations, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
- Work closely with Sales leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements that will drive efficiency and profitability.
- Assist in the management and optimization of commercial tools and systems, including the VIP platform, to streamline sales operations and improve data accuracy.
- Provide expertise on the 3-tier system in the USA, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing distribution channels for the wine and spirits business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations) to deliver integrated solutions that support business objectives.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate results to senior leadership.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues, working with IT teams to resolve any technical challenges related to commercial operations tools.
- Assist in the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the wine and spirits sector to ensure best practices are applied.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales support, or a similar role in the wine & spirits industry.
- Deep knowledge of the VIP (IDIG) platform and KARMA app, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize these tools for commercial operations.
- Strong understanding of the 3-tier distribution system in the USA as it applies to the wine and spirits business.
- Solid experience working with commercial data, sales reporting, and performance metrics.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving business improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional commercial operations tools and platforms.
- Understanding of global wine and spirits trends and market dynamics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
