Responsibilities

Summary

Brightline is looking for a motivated, experienced, and dependable Maintenance Technician to assist in servicing our client portfolio. The Maintenance Technician will conduct general maintenance repairs as well as preventative maintenance across properties in the Ann Arbor area. We seek the right person to join our team as we continue to add value to real estate and make our community a better place in which to live and work.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Complete necessary maintenance and repair tasks and ensure the reliability of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and other general interior/exterior repairs.
• Perform other general building maintenance and unit turns as requested or as preventively scheduled.
• Maintain positive working relationships with tenants and respond to requests and issues in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Coordinate with other maintenance team members as well as outside vendors.
• Comply with all fire/life/health/occupational safety procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with Leasing and Property Management teams, and serve as a dependable colleague alongside other key stakeholders.
• Utilize service issue software to establish priorities, set schedules, and document complete maintenance and repair information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management across our portfolio of properties including both commercial and residential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician
• Experience supporting other technicians or helping coordinate maintenance activities is a plus
• Experience with commercial and/or industrial buildings including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Experience with service tickets/work order software including phone apps is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
• Valid driver’s license

Job Type

• Full-time
• Participate in shared on-call rotation every 5-6 weeks, with additional pay for work performed after hours.
