You will complete daily work orders promptly and within 48 hours when possible, coordinating with managers to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion. The role requires experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Working knowledge of residential maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple work orders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, and residents.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed.
  • Ability to pass required background screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance, repairs, and inspections in occupied and vacant units, common areas, and building systems.
  • Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner, documenting work performed and materials used.
  • Diagnose and repair issues involving basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Assist with unit turns, including cleaning, repairs, and preparation for new residents.
  • Collaborate with fellow Maintenance Technicians to share workload, provide support, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, keeping them informed on work order status, recurring issues, and any safety or property concerns.
  • Coordinate closely with Community Managers to prioritize work orders and understand the urgency and impact of each request.
  • Maintain professional communication with community managers, assistant managers, leasing staff, and maintenance team members to support efficient operations and unit turnover.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team with Multifamily experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overall upkeep of multiple residential properties within your assigned city. You will complete daily work orders promptly and professionally, with an expectation that all work orders are addressed and submitted within 48 hours, unless otherwise prioritized by management.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

  • Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of work orders

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
