Job summary

Belmont Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Processor to join our team. The successful candidate will assist loan officers with bringing approved loans to funding by coordinating with applicants and third parties, and ensuring complete and accurate documentation.

The role requires a solid understanding of loan processing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple loan files, schedule closings, and complete all required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum two years of loan closing/documentation experience.
• Experience with LaserPro or similar loan documentation software preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; people-friendly with good interpersonal skills.
• Strong PC skills and ability to coordinate between multiple parties.

Responsibilities

• Draft loan documents using LaserPro in accordance with approved terms and bank policies, and in compliance with regulations.
• Schedule and coordinate closings.
• Carry out closings on-site or at a client location and submit documents to title companies for recording and final title insurance policy.
• Fund loans via wire, check or disbursement and approve final disbursement with escrow agents.
• Ensure funded loan files are complete and ready for booking onto the loan accounting system.
• Request title searches, title policy commitments, UCC searches, insurance certificates, articles of organization, operating agreements, trust agreements, corporate by-laws and legal opinions.
• Analyze documents to ensure collateral position can be perfected.
• Analyze liability and hazard insurance certificates to ensure adequate coverage.
• Run OFAC checks and collect information in accordance with Bank Secrecy Act.
• Post-funding tracking and review of documents perfecting the collateral.
