Job summary

Nebraska Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO) in Lincoln, NE seeks a Commercial Loan Assistant to support the Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager in managing the organization’s loan portfolio. The role focuses on data entry, document review for regulatory compliance, and ongoing account maintenance.

You will collect servicing documents, assist with imaging, and maintain communication with lenders and borrowers regarding loan status and servicing, while upholding confidentiality and following

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in learning and using computer software.
• Strong organizational skills for managing electronic data and documents.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.

Description: NEDCO, a non-traditional, commercial lender, is looking for a Commercial Loan Assistant to join our team.This position will be responsible for assisting the Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager in managing NEDCO’s commercial loan portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Loan onboarding and entry of data into loan software


• Document review for regulatory compliance


• Performing account maintenance related to financial, insurance, real estate taxes, and payoffs


• Collection of servicing documents from other lenders, borrowers, and insurance agents


• Assist with the imaging of documents


• Communication with lenders and borrowers relating to loan status and servicing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field is preferred


• Previous work experience in a law firm, bank, or insurance industry is preferred


• Demonstrate proficiency in learning and using computer software


• Strong organizational skills relating to management of electronic data and physical documents


• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality


• Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
