Formación

• Paralegal with 5+ years in business bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
• Chapter 11 experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with federal/state court procedure and Bankruptcy Code.
• Accurate, deadline-driven, able to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Support business bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11 cases, by preparing and filing motions, notices, and claims-related documents.
• Assist with adversary proceedings from pleadings through hearing prep.
• Support commercial litigation matters involving lenders, collections, and business disputes.
• Prepare, review, and file court documents through PACER/ECF.
• Calendar and track deadlines, hearings, and court requirements.
• Organize case files, exhibits, discovery, and materials for hearings/mediations.
• Communicate with clients, trustees, creditors, and opposing counsel as directed.

An established Florida law firm, is hiring an experienced paralegal for its business bankruptcy and commercial litigation work. The role supports attorneys on complex reorganization, creditor, and trustee matters, along with contested commercial disputes. It fits a paralegal with real case experience who is accurate, organized, and comfortable working on deadlines with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Support business bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11 cases, by preparing and filing motions, notices, and claims-related documents.
• Assist with adversary proceedings, from pleadings and discovery through hearing preparation.
• Support commercial litigation matters involving lenders, collections, and business disputes.
• Prepare, review, and file court documents through PACER and ECF.
• Calendar and track deadlines, hearings, and court requirements.
• Organize case files, exhibits, and discovery, and prepare materials for hearings and mediations.
• Communicate with clients, trustees, creditors, and opposing counsel as directed by the attorneys.

Qualifications

• Experience as a paralegal in business bankruptcy and commercial litigation. 5+ years preferred.
• Chapter 11 experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state court procedure, the Bankruptcy Code, and local rules.
• Strong PACER and ECF skills.
• Careful, detail oriented work, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred.
