Job summary

Jobot is seeking a talented litigation attorney to join a highly respected boutique firm in Connecticut. You will take on meaningful responsibility, gain direct client exposure, and litigate complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts.

You will work with seasoned litigators, draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery, handle depositions, and appear in court while building a long-term career with a growing practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to both the New York and Connecticut bars.
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Experience in state and federal courts.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Deposition and motion practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with all phases of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Handle written discovery, document review, and production.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Manage case files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
