Job summary

Direct Counsel seeks a Litigation Associate to join the Seattle office, handling sophisticated commercial litigation, product liability, and MDLs with high-profile matters. 1–5 years of experience preferred, including Am Law 100 background or judicial clerkship, strong writing, and research skills.

The role offers significant responsibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to work with nationally recognized trial lawyers in a leading Am Law firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 1–5 years of litigation experience at an Am Law 100 firm or judicial clerkship.
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Active Washington Bar membership.

Responsibilities

• Represent corporate clients in complex commercial litigation and related matters.
• Assist with pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial prep.
• Draft briefs, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues.
• Collaborate with litigation teams across multiple offices on high-profile matters.
• Participate in client meetings and case strategy discussions.
• Support environmental, government investigations, appellate matters, and product liability claims.
• Develop strong client relationships with business-focused legal representation.
