Job summary

The Seattle office is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to handle complex business disputes, work directly with clients, and take on meaningful responsibility in high-stakes litigation alongside experienced trial lawyers in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration. Candidates should have 2+ years of litigation experience, a J.D.

from an accredited law school, and admission to practice in Washington (or the ability to obtain admission promptly).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of litigation experience in a law firm, judicial clerkship, or similar setting.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills and ability to manage complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation from inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other filings.
• Conduct factual investigations, research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions; assist with witness preparation.
• Oversee document discovery and e-discovery processes.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials; support strategy.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to develop business-focused solutions.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff; participate in business development.
