Job summary

Our client, a leading international law firm in Seattle, seeks a Litigation Associate with 2-4 years of complex litigation experience to join its Seattle office and grow a sophisticated practice in commercial disputes.

The successful candidate will handle all phases of litigation, conduct advanced research, draft briefs and motions, participate in depositions and trial preparation, and receive mentorship from experienced litigators in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• 2-4 years of litigation experience is required.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills are essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Outstanding academic credentials are expected.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills are expected.
• Active membership in the Washington Bar, or willingness to obtain admission.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of complex litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, memoranda, and discovery-related documents.
• Assist with case strategy and litigation planning.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Manage discovery and case development efforts.
• Work closely with partners, clients, experts, and other team members on sophisticated disputes.
• Maintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical legal counsel.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
