This role focuses on sophisticated commercial disputes, business litigation, and complex civil litigation, offering meaningful responsibility and direct client exposure.

Ideal candidates have 2–6 years of commercial or complex business litigation, state and federal court experience, strong drafting and advocacy skills, and a J.D.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of commercial litigation experience
• Experience handling contract disputes, business torts, and complex commercial matters
• Experience practicing in state and federal courts
• Strong drafting, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses
• Depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial prep experience
• Independent matter management with collaboration with partners and clients
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Responsibilities

• Litigate sophisticated commercial disputes and complex civil matters
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions and work with fact and expert witnesses
• Manage written discovery, document production, and other discovery tasks
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Collaborate with partners and clients across matters

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 200 firm in Dallas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate interested in sophisticated commercial disputes, business litigation, and complex civil litigation while gaining meaningful responsibility and direct client exposure.

Ideal Background

• 2–6 years of commercial litigation or complex business litigation experience
• Experience handling sophisticated contract disputes, business torts, corporate disputes, and other complex commercial matters
• Experience practicing in state and federal courts
• Strong experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
• Experience taking and defending depositions and working with fact and expert witnesses
• Experience managing written discovery, document production, and other aspects of complex litigation
• Experience with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Ability to independently manage significant portions of matters while collaborating with partners and clients
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
