The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of complex commercial litigation experience, strong drafting and deposition skills, and the ability to manage significant portions of matters while collaborating with partners.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of complex commercial/business litigation experience.
• Experience handling sophisticated commercial disputes, contract claims, and corporate disputes.
• Experience litigating matters in state and federal courts.
• Strong drafting, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and working with fact and expert witnesses.
• Experience managing complex discovery and case strategy.
• Experience with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Handle and advance sophisticated complex commercial matters from discovery through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions; coordinate with fact and expert witnesses.
• Manage discovery, document production, and case strategy.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to drive case strategy.

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Complex Litigation Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 100 firm in Dallas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate interested in sophisticated complex commercial disputes, business litigation, and high-stakes civil litigation for major companies and other sophisticated clients across a variety of industries.

Ideal Background

• 2–6 years of complex commercial litigation or business litigation experience
• Experience handling sophisticated commercial disputes, contract claims, business torts, corporate disputes, and other complex civil matters
• Experience litigating matters in state and federal courts
• Strong experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
• Experience taking and defending depositions and working with fact and expert witnesses
• Experience managing complex discovery, document production, and case strategy
• Experience with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Experience independently managing significant portions of complex matters while collaborating with partners and clients
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment
• Strong academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
