Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is hiring a Commercial Lines Assistant to work closely with Account Managers, Producers and Marketing Representatives to service new and existing accounts and support agency sales goals.

The role involves handling requests, analyzing exposures, reviewing policies for accuracy, and assisting with marketing and underwriting data. A 440 or 220 license within 1 year is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least two years of insurance experience.
• Completion or evidence of skills as outlined by Commercial Management.
• High School Degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop a full working knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures.
• Handle client requests for information, endorsements, cancellations and other services.
• Assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries.
• Assist in recommending coverages or changes based on client needs.
• Review policies, endorsements, audits and quotations prepared by carriers for accuracy.
• Assist in compiling and preparing marketing and underwriting data (loss runs, MVRs, mods, FCCPCP credits).
• Issue binders, certificates, auto IDs, invoices and similar items.
