Qualifications

• Degree in business or finance preferred.
• Insurance designation (AAI) preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in a similar role.
• Strong confidentiality and data handling.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating.
• Independently manage a large, complex accounts book.
• Maintain relationships with customers and producers.
• Enter data into agency management system and document conversations.
• Prepare renewal submissions and coordinate with Marketing.
• Present renewal proposals to insured.
• Write additional lines of coverage (flood, wind) as needed.
• Prepare binders, policies, endorsements, certificates, audits, and cancellations.
• Verify coverages and premiums and collect payments within 10 days.
• Maintain diary system for follow-up.
• Review losses with claims manager, producer, and customer.
• Handle clerical duties and respond to emails.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Small/Middle Market Business Account Manager to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, and Maitland, FL!

This role provides commercial lines support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts.

How You Will Contribute:

• Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating including the license as required by law and all continuing education required
• Independently manage large book with larger and/or more complex accounts
• Maintain favorable relationship with customers and producers
• Enter all required data into agency management system to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts, and properly document all conversations and confirm to insured all actions taken at their request
• Prepare renewal submissions including all attachments and supplements; work closely with Marketing department during renewal process
• Present or co-present renewal proposal to insured
• Write additional lines of coverage (flood, wind, etc.) as needed
• Prepare and/or review: binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations for delivery to insured
• Validate coverages and premiums charged on policies, endorsements, audits and cancellations and collect premium payments within 10 days
• Maintain follow up (diary) system for correspondence and requests
• Review property and casualty losses with claims manager, producer, and customer as needed
• Perform clerical functions including but not limited to answering phones, proofreading, photocopying documents, and responding in a timely fashion to email correspondence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Licenses and Certifications

• Florida License 2-20 or equivalent resident license

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline (preferred)
• Insurance Designation e.g. AAI (preferred)
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
