Jonus Group is seeking a motivated Commercial Lines Producer to join our growing insurance team in Columbus, OH. This role targets middle-market accounts, offers a structured training program, mentorship, and strong earning potential through salary plus commissions.

You will develop expertise in selected industry verticals, conduct client meetings, and build lasting relationships while achieving sales goals with leadership collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in Risk Management, Business, or Sales.
• 3–4 years of B2B sales experience (outside of insurance is acceptable).
• OR 2–3 years as a Producer Assistant or in an insurance-related role.
• P&C license preferred but not required.

• Select and focus on a primary and secondary industry vertical to build expertise.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000 (Year 1; declines over 3 years to commission‑only).
• Commission: 40% on new business, 30% on renewals.
• Bonuses: Activity‑based bonuses (e.g., $1,000 for meeting monthly goals).
• Equity Opportunity: Earn equity once your book of business reaches $250,000.

  • Recent graduates with Risk Management degrees will also be considered.
• Licenses: Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred but not required.

  • Ability to hold effective client meetings and close deals.
