Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks a motivated Commercial Lines Producer to drive growth in middle-market accounts. You'll focus on industry verticals, engage in client meetings, and build lasting relationships while leveraging a structured training program and mentorship to accelerate earning potential.

Base salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 in Year 1, with commissions of 40% on new business and 30% on renewals, plus activity-based bonuses and equity once a $250,000 book is achieved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Risk Management, Business, or Sales)
• 3–4 years of B2B sales experience or 2–3 years as a Producer Assistant/insurance-related role
• License: P&C preferred but not required

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000 (Year 1; declines over 3 years to commission-only).
• Commission: 40% on new business, 30% on renewals.
• Bonuses: Activity-based bonuses (e.g., $1,000 for meeting monthly goals).
• Equity Opportunity: Earn equity once your book of business reaches $250,000.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in Risk Management, Business, or Sales.
• Experience:
• 3–4 years of B2B sales experience (outside of insurance is acceptable).
• OR 2–3 years as a Producer Assistant or in an insurance-related role.
• Recent graduates with Risk Management degrees will also be considered.
• Licenses: Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred but not required.
• Skills:
• Strong prospecting and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to hold effective client meetings and close deals.
• Self-motivated, with a hunger for success and a drive to achieve financial goals.
