Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Commercial Lines Claims Consultant to join our Commercial Lines team in Pittsburgh, PA, with preference for nearby offices such as Irwin, Coraopolis, Erie, Harrisburg, Hellertown, or Blue Bell. This role focuses on advocating for clients, interpreting policies, and negotiating fair settlements across complex claims.

You will collaborate with Producers and Account Managers, manage end-to-end claims, and stay abreast of industry changes to support client retention

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of applicable commercial claims handling or claims advocacy experience.
• Ability to interpret policy language and analyze coverage in complex or disputed claims.
• Proven negotiation experience with insurers, adjusters, and legal counsel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and prospect presentations.
• Strong client service and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple demands.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the client’s claims advocate and facilitator, advising on process, outcomes, and timelines.
• Review policy language, analyze coverage, and propose coverage solutions in disputed cases.
• Negotiate with insurers, adjusters, and counsel to expedite claims and secure fair settlements.
• Manage end-to-end claims process; conduct regular reviews with clients, carriers, and loss adjusters.
• Document conversations, maintain electronic filing, and ensure data integrity across HUB systems.
• Partner with Producers and Account Managers on claims aspects and participate in sales activities.
• Monitor industry changes and advise clients in response to evolving conditions.
• Prepare management reports and travel as required.
