Talent Edge Recruiting is assisting a client in Norfolk, VA, seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service a substantial book of business and build lasting relationships with clients and carriers.

The role involves handling renewals, COIs, endorsements, and day-to-day servicing, while coordinating with underwriters to secure competitive coverage options and providing exceptional client support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience.
• Experience handling renewals, COIs, endorsements, and day-to-day servicing.
• Experience with insurance carriers and underwriters.
• AMS 360 or similar agency management system experience.
• Property & Casualty License preferred or willingness to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an established commercial lines book of ~300 client accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and respond to coverage questions and service requests.
• Process policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes.
• Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and other policy documentation.
• Market both new and renewal business to multiple carriers to secure options.
• Prepare renewal proposals and review policy recommendations with clients.
• Communicate with carriers and underwriters to resolve coverage questions and negotiate solutions.
• Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
• Support producers with new business onboarding, account transitions, and retention.
• Balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines for renewals and client deliverables.
• Deliver high level of customer service focused on long-term retention.
