Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers to support account retention and proactively address issues.
• Collaborate with marketing, gather updated client information, and manage the renewal process including quoting and recommending appropriate markets.
• Handle client requests, review policies, endorsements, and forms for accuracy, and recommend necessary changes.
• Oversee preparation of binders, certificates, invoices, ID cards, manage policy cancellations, document storage, and policy issuance.
• Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting criteria, rates, and methodologies; negotiate with underwriters as needed.
• Prepare submissions, check policies and quotations for accuracy, and coordinate corrections with carriers and clients.
• Utilize agency automation systems to manage account activities and ensure follow-up.
• Coordinate with the Accounting Department on premium financing, discrepancies, and keep producers informed.
• Communicate with insurance markets and clients; accompany producers on client visits as requested.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain regular attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Florida Agents License
• At least four years of insurance experience

Preferred Certifications

• CPCU and/or CIC designation

Skills & Experience

• High School diploma, including management courses, or equivalent
