Position Overview: The primary function of this position is to provide quality service to clients. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company, agent, and their clients. Daily servicing of clients will include addressing various coverage issues and handling all the inside service work associated with the clients account, including all endorsement activity, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewals, checking and binding of policies.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time remote position that supports the Patriot office located in Agoura Hills. Monthly in person meetings are held in our Huntington Beach office.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their insurance needs and providing personalized service and support.
  • Policy Marketing & Renewal: Prepare Acord submissions, generate quotes, conduct coverage reviews, and negotiate with underwriters to secure the best terms.
  • Account Management: Handle endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, billing, and certificates of insurance with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coverage Assessment: Gather and assess renewal updates, evaluate quotes, and identify coverage gaps, recommending additional policy lines when appropriate.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with advisors on renewals and new business, providing proactive client support.
  • Client Communication & Documentation: Educate clients on coverage, exclusions, and exposures while maintaining accurate records in Epic.
  • Technical & Administrative Support: Assist producers with proposals and applications, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Policy Issuance & Verification: Issue and verify binders, certificates, policies, and endorsements before sending to clients.

Required

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management
  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree in Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • California Property and Casualty Insurance License
  • Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage & rate analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and self-manage workload.
  • Computer literate with experience using Applied Epic and Microsoft Office Suite products.

Preferred

  • Experience in writing insurance in the Transportation sector (hazardous and heavy hauling)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar field

Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience.

  • A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
