- Prepare complete applications and underwriting submissions. Obtain and compare quotations from carriers and wholesalers, summarize material differences, and prepare renewal proposals.
- Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements and binders within agency procedures and carrier authority. Verify issued policies against requested coverage and follow through on corrections.
- Issue certificates and evidence of insurance accurately. Confirm additional insured, waiver of subrogation, primary and noncontributory, and cancellation notice provisions against policy endorsements; elevate requests that exceed coverage or authority.
- Maintain complete records, correspondence, suspense items and follow-up activity in the agency management system. Follow agency errors and omissions procedures and protect confidential client information.

- Support producers with account reviews, new account onboarding and relevant additional coverage opportunities. Maintain productive relationships with underwriters, wholesalers and agency colleagues.
Responsibilities by Account Type
- Habitational accounts: Service apartment buildings, condominium associations and other residential property accounts. Review building valuations, replacement cost, business income or rental value, ordinance or law, equipment breakdown, water damage, vacancy and premises liability exposures. Coordinate lender requirements and recommend flood, umbrella and other coverage when appropriate.
- Contractor accounts: Review operations, subcontractor use, payroll, sales and job exposures. Evaluate general liability, ongoing and completed operations, workers compensation, commercial auto, umbrella, contractors equipment and builders risk needs. Review insurance requirements in contracts, verify required endorsements, and coordinate subcontractor insurance documentation without providing legal advice.
- Manufacturing accounts: Review products, processes, locations, raw materials, inventory, machinery and distribution exposures. Evaluate property, business income, equipment breakdown, products and completed operations liability, workers compensation, commercial auto and umbrella coverage. Identify cyber, pollution, product recall and cargo exposures for further review with producers and specialist markets.

- Ability to interpret policy language, identify coverage concerns, explain insurance clearly and recognize when an issue requires management, carrier or specialist review.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-through; ability to manage competing deadlines and communicate professionally with clients and carrier representatives.
- Proficiency with an agency management system, carrier portals, ACORD forms, Microsoft Office and electronic document workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with all three specialties, larger or complex commercial accounts, surplus lines placements and layered umbrella or excess programs.
