Job summary

b1BANK is seeking a Loan Operations Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for loan production and operations staff. The role emphasizes commercial lending processes, regulatory alignment, and ongoing support to ensure accurate procedures and strong knowledge transfer across teams.

The position requires 4–7 years in loan operations, a related bachelor’s degree preferred, and proficiency with key lending systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in a business- or finance-related field preferred.
• 4–7 years of loan operations or lending experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and internal processing systems.
• Extensive understanding of loan application policies and procedures, regs and internal controls.
• Knowledge of commercial lending processes and collateral perfection.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, SharePoint and Office 365 for team collaboration.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain loan operations training materials, job aids, and reference guides.
• Facilitate onboarding activities related to lending operations, including system navigation and workflows.
• Deliver training sessions (classroom, virtual, or one-on-one) as directed.
• Provide hands-on support to frontline staff regarding lending systems and procedures.
• Support knowledge transfer through follow-up activities with trainees.
• Respond to routine training questions and provide internal support to bank employees.
• Collaborate with Lending Administration, Retail, Operations, Compliance, Risk and other departments to identify training topics.
• Track training completion, attendance, and required documentation.
• Stay informed of regulatory requirements and document accordingly.
• Maintain strong knowledge of loan products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
