Job summary

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of commercial lending, loan operations, documentation, banking support, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, file maintenance, collateral, insurance, tickler systems, and closing processes preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and applicable Bank systems.

JOB SUMMARY

The Commercial Lending Specialist I provides operational and administrative support to Commercial Lenders, Commercial Underwriters, and Commercial Credit Analysts throughout the commercial loan lifecycle. The position organizes files, prepares approved loans for documentation and closing, manages ticklers and insurance requirements, completes required forms, and coordinates handoffs among lending, credit, documentation, appraisal, escrow, compliance, operations, and other departments. The role helps ensure each transaction progresses accurately, completely, and on time and does not make credit decisions or perform complex underwriting. A Commercial Lending Specialist I provides foundational file, tickler, insurance, data entry, form and documentation support for routine commercial transactions. Follows established checklists and procedures, maintains accurate records, communicates missing items, and escalates exceptions of unfamiliar situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional coursework or an associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of commercial lending, loan operations, documentation, banking support, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, file maintenance, collateral, insurance, tickler systems, and closing processes preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and applicable Bank systems.
