Commercial Lending Relationship Manager - Phoenix (AZ)

NBAZ is seeking an experienced Commercial Lending Relationship Manager to join our Phoenix team. Ideal candidates will possess extensive knowledge of Phoenix and surrounding communities, with a proven track record of attracting new business and deepening existing customer relationships.

This role focuses on identifying suitable lending opportunities, soliciting and developing all types of business activity, with a specialization in commercial loans. The position involves participating in the development and recommendation of overall commercial loan strategies, policies, and practices.

Essential Functions:

1. Support the development and maintenance of profitable commercial banking relationships.
2. Establish, develop, and maintain an active prospecting program to identify potential relationship opportunities aligned with NBAZ’s core values and strategic goals.
3. Interpret and implement commercial loan policies, contributing to a sound and profitable loan portfolio with maximum income and minimal losses.
4. Minimize credit issues and delinquencies by maintaining high credit standards, proper documentation, and timely collections.
5. Present loan proposals and provide decision recommendations to senior lenders and loan committees.
6. Collaborate with the sales team to complete transactions.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A four-year college degree in business, accounting, or finance is highly preferred, with at least 2+ years of direct commercial lending experience in C&I or similar fields. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of commercial loans, credit analysis, financial statement analysis, credit scoring, and related procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain significant banking relationships, especially within the local AZ communities.
• Proficiency with advanced technologies and analytical tools relevant to decision-making and problem-solving.
• Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong financial and credit analysis capabilities.
• Creative problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills.
