Terros Health offers an exciting opportunity for a Health Center Relations Specialist at our McDowell Health Center in Phoenix, AZ. The Health Relations Specialist is the frontline interface with patients at Terros Health Centers. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of relevant front office customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality, or banking, and we will provide training!


The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, conducting intake interviews, and managing paperwork. Reporting to the Practice Supervisor, the successful candidate will be flexible, compassionate, and professional. Terros Health is hiring a Health Center Relations Specialist at our McDowell Health Center in Phoenix, AZ, with a $300 sign-on bonus. This is a full-time, in-person position with training provided. The work schedule is flexible, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 8 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and rotating Saturdays from 7:30 am to 5 pm.


Minimum requirements include at least one year of relevant front office customer-facing experience in healthcare, hospitality, or banking. Experience in healthcare front office settings is preferred.


Key Duties:


  • Greet patients courteously and assist promptly with compassion.
  • Check-in patients and notify staff of arrivals, updating information as needed.
  • Review and update daily schedules accurately.
  • Gather and maintain patient demographic information in compliance with guidelines.
  • Have basic knowledge of insurance types, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED within six months, or an associate degree in healthcare or related fields preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant front office experience in healthcare or related fields; hospitality or banking experience considered.
  • Familiarity with health insurance and electronic health records; experience with NextGen preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based programs.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Proven customer service record in healthcare.
  • This is a non-driving role at a single location; no travel required.
  • Must pass a TB test.
