Job summary

SouthState Bank, National Association is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to drive new business growth in a SouthState metro market. You will manage a high-level loan and deposit portfolio, analyze credit information, and structure packages that meet regulatory and Bank standards.

The role requires 5–10 years of commercial lending experience, strong sales and negotiation skills, and thorough knowledge of lending policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking or related field is required.
• 5–10 years commercial lending experience; include loan structuring and credit analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of bank products, lending regulations and procedures.
• Strong sales, interpersonal and negotiating skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop consultative relationships with prospects and clients to grow loan and deposit portfolios.
• Underwrite loan requests within Bank policy and pricing guidelines.
• Ensure accurate loan documentation and timely submission to Credit partner for approval.
• Manage and service the assigned loan portfolio, ensuring compliance and quality.
• Build relationships with COIs and community to enhance Bank's market presence.
