Job summary

Cape Cod Five is seeking a Senior Commercial Lending Operations Specialist to oversee lending operations, compliance, and process improvements. You will coordinate auditing activities and drive efficiency across systems, controls, and staff while partnering with Compliance, Audit, and lending teams.

Responsibilities include leading initiatives, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring regulatory alignment with applicable laws and bank policies.

Qualifications

• Specialized training in commercial lending, credit, compliance, or related subjects.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible commercial lending operations and/or commercial credit experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending processes, loan documentation, and applicable Federal and State lending laws and regulatory requirements.
• Experience coordinating audits, examinations, operational projects, or process improvements within a financial services environment preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
• Effective leadership and coaching skills with the ability to work through a front-line supervisor and support employee development and performance management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Commercial Loan Officer & Operations Manager with operational initiatives, process alignment, and strategic projects.
• Coordinates assigned workstreams and partners across functions to implement improvements to workflows, controls, systems, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Participates on Bank committees and working groups such as Operations, Fair Lending, Reg O, Demand Management, Risk, Audit and Compliance, and Loan Committee.
• Coordinates tools and systems supporting the Commercial Loan Specialist function, including LaserPro, and supports effective use of the platform.
• Point person with Compliance on reporting and important compliance matters; coordinates responses to audits and regulatory examinations.
• Drafts responses to audit findings and coordinates corrective actions, training, and procedure updates.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and assists with updating procedures and training.
• Provides oversight for the Commercial Loan Specialist function through the Supervisor and supports staffing and performance management.
• Partners with lenders and Bank departments to support operations, customer service, and business objectives.
• Exercises bank authority within established limits (signing checks, approving wires, endorsing documents).
