Job summary
IFM Investors is seeking a Senior Legal professional in New York to maximise net returns for debt investments, including structuring, regulatory risk analysis and product development. The role integrates with the Debt Investment, Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, Regulatory and Compliance, and Fund Raising teams across North America, Europe and APAC.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years at a leading law firm or in-house, with deep experience in debt structures and infrastructure projects,
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Finance, Infrastructure/Projects or Project Finance.
- Strong knowledge of debt finance documents and structures.
- Excellent commercial mindset and ability to interact with senior business stakeholders.
- Admission to the NY Bar in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial legal work stream on debt transactions and new debt products.
- Inform decision makers of relevant legal issues with advisers and external counsel.
- Lead legal workstreams on asset management projects, waivers, consents, amendments and restructurings.
- Support US/UK investment teams through diligence to execution of transactions.
