Job summary

Talently is seeking a Leasing Manager to join a dynamic real estate portfolio in the Southeast market. The role combines remote work with a staged move to four days onsite, focusing on maximizing occupancy, revenue, and tenant mix across grocery-anchored retail centers.

You will direct broker teams, negotiate complex leases, and collaborate with development, construction, and marketing to drive leasing success. Travel to industry events may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, preferably retail-focused portfolios.
• Expert knowledge of retail real estate leasing practices, deal structures, and retail-specific lease clauses.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and leasing management systems such as Yardi, VTS, or similar.
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to industry events and conferences as needed.

Responsibilities

• Qualify tenants and generate inbound leads via networking and outreach.
• Draft and finalize Letters of Intent for commercial terms.
• Partner with Development and Construction on TI allowances and timelines.
• Administer lease amendments, assignments, subleases, terminations; ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with Marketing to support leasing initiatives and updates.

As a Leasing Manager, you will play a critical role in maximizing occupancy, driving revenue, and curating an engaging tenant mix that elevates property value and customer experience across the portfolio in the thriving Southeast market.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee third-party broker teams to achieve aggressive leasing targets and accelerate deal flow.
• Execute merchandising plans and prospect for national, regional, and local tenants to enhance the anchor and specialty tenant mix.
• Lead negotiations for complex lease transactions, including new leases, renewals, expansions, and amendments while ensuring critical retail-specific clauses are addressed.
• Qualify tenants and generate inbound leads through networking, cold calling, broker relationships, and digital outreach.
• Draft and finalize Letters of Intent, ensuring all commercial, legal, and build‑out requirements are met prior to legal review.
• Partner with Development and Construction teams on Tenant Improvement (TI) allowances and support timely tenant openings.
• Administer all lease amendments, assignments, subleases, and terminations, focusing on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with Marketing to support leasing initiatives, presentations, and property updates.

Must-Have Skills

• Ability to support tenant welcome procedures and onboarding communications.
