The Opportunity

BSM Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled, highly motivated Commercial Lead Carpenter & Retail TI Framing/Finish Lead to direct hands‑on framing, drywall, and hardware installations across commercial job sites in the Greater Los Angeles area.

In this central field trade role, you will execute off‑shift night builds and retail tenant improvements (TI) for recognized national brand clients. Operating out of our Azusa hub, you will take hands‑on ownership of structural layout, light gauge metal stud framing, drywall installation, door/frame/hardware (DFH) hanging, and interior/exterior finish carpentry. Working with an established commercial general contractor with 18 years of national industry leadership, you will collaborate with superintendents and project managers to keep tight commercial schedules on track. Key Responsibilities
  • Metal Stud Framing & Structural Layout: Perform precision layout work, establishing wall track, structural studs, soffits, and ceiling grids for commercial interior build‑outs and retail spaces.
  • Drywall & Panel Installation: Hang commercial‑grade drywall, fire‑rated gypsum board, sound attenuation insulation, and cement board according to architectural specs.

  • Safety & Clean Work Zone Stewardship: Maintain a hazard‑free work environment—enforcing OSHA safety standards, wearing required PPE, and protecting active client assets during night operations.
  • Tooling & Fleet Care: Utilize personal specialized carpentry tools effectively while maintaining company vehicles or personal trucks supported by corporate allowance programs.
