Job summary

Commercial-Builders- is seeking a skilled Commercial Carpenter to join our Fort Wayne, IN team. This full‑time role works under the Carpenter Foreman on a variety of commercial projects, emphasizing quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include framing, finish carpentry, doors, millwork, drywall, and reading blueprints. 3+ years preferred; OSHA certification a plus. Competitive hourly pay with benefits. Must have reliable transportation and ability to lift 50+ lbs.

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Commercial Carpenter to join our team. This position works closely with the Carpenter Foreman to complete a variety of commercial construction projects while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

What You'll Do
  • Perform a variety of commercial carpentry work, including framing, finish carpentry, doors, hardware, millwork, drywall, and general construction.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project plans.
  • Measure, cut, and install materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete assigned work independently while following direction from the Carpenter Foreman.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
  • Assist with material handling, jobsite setup, and maintaining an organized work area.
  • Identify potential issues or concerns and communicate them to the Foreman.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship and company standards on every project.
  • Work professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred, particularly with metal stud and wood framing.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and accurately follow project plans.
  • Experience using a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the workday.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
