Job summary

Teufel Landscape is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead day-to-day field execution of commercial landscape construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate crews, equipment, materials, schedules, and jobsite priorities while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role requires 5+ years in landscape construction and at least 2 years in supervision, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial landscape construction experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
• English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations, including crews, equipment, materials, and site readiness.
• Partner with the Project Manager to plan upcoming work and keep projects moving forward.
• Provide timely updates to the Project Manager on progress, labor, productivity, materials, and schedule changes.
• Review plans and specs to ensure accurate installation.
• Monitor labor hours, production, equipment use, and material consumption against project plans.
• Coordinate jobsite activities with the general contractor and other trades to avoid conflicts.
• Maintain quality standards, manage punch lists, and support project closeout.
• Train and supervise field employees, reinforcing safety and accountability.
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping, safety documentation, and jobsite records.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.

• Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
• Monitor labor hours, production, equipment use, and material consumption against project expectations.
• Coordinate jobsite activities with the general contractor and other trades to prevent conflicts and delays.
• Maintain quality standards, manage punch-list work, and support project closeout.
• Train and supervise field employees while reinforcing safety, accountability, and professional conduct.
• Complete required daily reports, timekeeping, safety documentation, and jobsite records.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.

What You’ll Bring

• Knowledge of irrigation, grading, hardscape, and plant installation.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Basic technology skills.

This is an active, outdoor position performed on commercial construction sites in varying weather and terrain.
