Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Las Vegas seeks a Practice Builder to lead and expand our Land Development practice. You will win and deliver exceptional work, manage projects profitability, mentor the next generation, and enjoy autonomy to shape the direction and growth of the practice.

This role requires a PE, deep client network, and strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, with a proven track record in business development and leading teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing land development projects.
• P.E. license is required.
• Extensive client contacts with architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners or land owners.
• Proven ability to grow and manage a land development practice profitably.
• Experience in business development and marketing including proposals and scopes of work.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to mentor staff and direct resources effectively.

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Practice Bilder to lead and expand our Land Development practice in fabulous Las Vegas! As a Practice Builder at Kimley-Horn you will serve clients by winning and delivering exceptional work, managing projects profitably, and mentoring the next generation. This position offers extensive autonomy to lead, direct, and scale the practice with a forward-thinking approach.

Responsibilities

As a Practice Builder, you will build,grow, and develop a dynamic Land Development team, fostering and maintaining robust relationships with key clients. Your leadership responsibilities will include:

• Upholding the highest standards of integrity and sound business principles
• Setting a clear vision, and developing strategic business plans and goals
• Establishing and achieving measurable goals
• Building and maintaining positive client relationships
• Ensuring transparent communication across your team and partnerships
• Growing and leading a top-tier land development practice

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience managing land development projects
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Extensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or land owners
• Strong technical skills with AutoCAD Civil3D
• Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
• Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
• Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
