Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is hiring a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician in Birmingham, AL. The role involves on-site service of commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and related equipment, working with managers to deliver comprehensive service solutions, and diagnosing issues using diagrams and schematics.

The position requires a year of technical experience, valid driver’s license, and willingness to join on-call rotation with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on‑call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Immigration sponsorship not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to offer comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware‑washing, and other equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and ability to read diagrams and schematics.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Communicate with manufacturers for diagnoses and parts identification.
• Consult with Technical Assistance Group for on-site support.
• Install ordered parts and maintain company policy.
• Promote other Smart Care services to customers when needed.
• Produce accurate administrative documents such as work orders and time reporting.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain vehicle and inventory.
• Maintain productivity levels per company standards.
