Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician in Layfette, IN to service and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and related equipment. You will work with restaurant managers to provide comprehensive service solutions and read diagrams and schematics.

The role offers on-the-job training with CFESA certifications, a company vehicle, incentives, and clear advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel.
• Immigration sponsorship not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to service commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing and other equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and ability to read diagrams/schematics.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Communicate with manufacturers for diagnoses and parts identification.
• Consult with Technical Assistance Group for support while onsite.
• Install ordered parts timely and professionally per policy.
• Promote other Smart Care services to customers.
• Produce accurate work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
• Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
• Maintain neat service vehicle and inventory.
• Maintain productivity levels per company standards.
