Job summary

Tech-24 A Commercial Food Service Repair Company Inc is seeking a Regular Full Time Foodservice Technician in Elkridge, MD. The role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial cooking equipment at customer locations, requiring strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical/ electrical aptitude to minimize downtime and support business continuity.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of commercial cooking equipment repair experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
Strong gas and/or electric troubleshooting experience.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Own industry standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, mixers, dishwashers, flattops, holding cabinets, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient equipment operations.
Test components and verify proper operation after repairs.
Document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system.
Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers.
Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked.
Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities.
Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
