Job summary

Smart Care is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to service restaurants, hotels, and hospitals across Hampton Roads, VA. You’ll diagnose and repair cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and specialty equipment, using diagrams and practical approaches to solve problems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or technical military service.
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and availability to participate in the evening and weekend emergency on-call rotation.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and specialty food service equipment.
• Put your mechanical aptitude to work using diagrams, schematics, and a practical approach to solving equipment problems.
• Build trusted relationships with restaurant and hospitality managers, explaining repair needs and recommending solutions to help prevent equipment failures.
• Manage your daily service schedule, prioritize calls, and work independently while staying connected with your team.
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Earn quarterly bonuses by meeting efficiency and productivity goals.
