Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to service restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and other businesses across Hampton Roads. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment, building trusted relationships with managers while working independently.

You’ll participate in an on-call rotation, occasionally travel overnight, and receive hands-on training with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or similar.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
• Willingness to participate in evening/weekend on-call rotation.
• Occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and specialty food service equipment.
• Use diagrams and schematics to identify and fix equipment problems.
• Build relationships with restaurant and hospitality managers and advise on repair solutions to prevent future failures.
• Manage daily service schedule, prioritize calls, and work independently while coordinating with the team.
• Participate in emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Earn quarterly bonuses by meeting efficiency and productivity goals.
