Job summary

PT Holdings is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician in Iowa to diagnose, repair, install and maintain a wide range of foodservice equipment for restaurants, schools and hotels. You will be on-site with customers, ensuring kitchens operate safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of gas/electrical/refrigeration/plumbing systems, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Previous experience repairing commercial kitchen or foodservice equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of gas, electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing systems is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage a service schedule.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a wide range of commercial foodservice equipment.
• Work with restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels and other customers to keep kitchens operating safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, gas, refrigeration, and plumbing issues.
• Repair and maintain ovens, fryers, griddles, steamers, ranges, dishwashers and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose failures to determine best repair solution.
• Complete service calls accurately and professionally and communicate recommendations to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety procedures and specifications.
• Keep service vehicle, tools, and equipment organized and in good condition.
