Job summary

Medford Wellington Service Company, Inc. seeks a qualified field service technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain a broad range of commercial gas, electric, and steam cooking equipment in the North Billerica, MA area.

The role includes on-call rotations and coordination with customers for timely service. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience, reads schematics/blueprints, and holds OSHA 10 and CFESA preferred certification along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in repair/maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Must participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Comfort with smart devices and field service tech tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a broad spectrum of gas, electric, and steam equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Be available for on-call rotations and emergency service.
• Assist with related office duties when needed.

• Troubleshoot

Able to assist with office related duties such as collection calls, shipping and receiving, shop maintenance and other related operational duties when necessary.

Physical Requirements

Lifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van.
