Job summary

Medford Wellington Service Co Inc. seeks an experienced service technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a broad spectrum of commercial gas, electric, and steam cooking equipment.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and read electrical schematics and blueprints to guide field work. On-call rotation is required; candidates should be safety-conscious, with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Be available for on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Operate and tool equipment safely; lifting up to approx 50 lbs.

Job Description/Qualifications:

Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain a broad spectrum of commercial gas, electric, and steam equipment, including, but not limited to: All cooking equipment (combi ovens, convection ovens, track/conveyor ovens, pizza decks, microwaves, tilt skillets, grills, griddles, broilers, electric/gas ranges) Fryers & Heat Systems, Steam & Water Line Equipment and Countertop & Food Prep Equipment

Troubleshoot

Perform preventative maintenance

Ability to read electrical schematics.

Ability to read/interpret blueprints.

Must be able to participate on an on-call rotation for emergency service.

Well versed with smart devices (e.g. Android phone and tablet) is a plus.

Relies on direction from management and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and the ability to work and communicate with peers and customers.

Work on call per schedule

Lifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van.
