Jomar Electrical Contractors in Texas seeks a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, inspect, and repair wiring, controls, and lighting in commercial facilities. You will read blueprints, ensure code compliance, and work with a team to deliver safe, reliable electrical systems.

Applicants should have a TDLR Journeyman license, OSHA 30, and 5 years on commercial projects; bilingual candidates are preferred.

Formación

• Must hold a TDLR Journeyman Electrician license.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial electrical projects.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Bilingualism is strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems in commercial buildings.
• Inspect electrical components and diagnose problems; perform repairs or replacements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to plan installations per codes.
• Use testing devices to identify and solve electrical issues.
• Train apprentices and supervise journeyman activities on site.
• Maintain thorough records of work, materials, and inspections.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems in commercial buildings.
• Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers, diagnose problems, and perform repairs or replacements using various tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to plan installations and ensure all work adheres to local and national electrical codes.
• Use testing devices and critical thinking to identify and solve electrical problems effectively.
• Journeyman electricians will help to train and guide apprentices in the proper installation and repair of electrical systems.
• Journeyman electricians keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.

Requirements:

• TDLR Journeyman Electrician License and OSHA 30 certified
• 5 years of experience on commercial electrical projects
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• May be required to work overtime, nights, and weekends
• Bilingual is strongly preferred.
