Qualifications

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Licensed Journeyman Electrician role is based in Houston, TX. The electrician will install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects, including conduit, wiring, panels, fixtures, and equipment. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics, performing layout, routing circuits, and ensuring all work meets local codes and safety standards. The role involves diagnosing electrical issues, performing troubleshooting and corrective repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance activities. The electrician will collaborate with project managers, apprentices, and inspectors, maintain accurate documentation of work performed, and uphold company safety and quality protocols on every job site.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles relevant to commercial, industrial, and residential systems.
• Hands-on electrical work experience, including installation of wiring, panels, fixtures, and related electrical components.
• Proficiency in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, with a focus on reliability and code compliance.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, performance issues, and safety hazards.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Texas (or ability to obtain), with a clean driving record and eligibility to work on-site.
• Thorough understanding of NEC, local codes, and safety regulations; commitment to safe work practices and PPE use.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation; strong attention to detail and organization.
• Experience leading or mentoring apprentices, working in team-based construction environments, and communicating clearly with supervisors and inspectors.
