  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors for on-time project completion.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools like an ohmmeter.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for future reference.

Job description

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will lead a crew under the guidance of a Master Electrician to supervise the installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate should work from a position of “Safety First Always” and utilize all safety equipment and training provided to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.

Must have a current TDLR Journeyman license to apply for this position.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure commercial electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired safely & efficiently
  • Read & interpret blueprints to plan & layout electrical systems
  • Utilize hand tools safely & effectively for various tasks related to building and maintaining electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes during all electrical work
  • Coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors for seamless project integration and completion of projects on time
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment
  • Maintain detailed documentation for future reference
  • Perform other project related duties assigned by General Contractor or other senior Electrician
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and a solid understanding of electrical principles and concepts per the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, with the ability to work on high voltage installations and renovations
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid TDLR Journeyman License
  • At least 2 years Commercial Electrical Experience preferred
  • Have own hand tools; we will provide specialty tools
