Job summary

Jomar Electrical Contractors is seeking two Journeyman Electricians - Service Technicians to join our Houston-based Service Department. You will perform service calls, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, complete repairs, and support commercial service and construction projects throughout the Houston, Texas area.

Requirements include a valid Journeyman TDLR Electrical license, at least 5 years of commercial service experience, and a valid driver license.

• Valid Journeyman TDLR Electrical license.
• At least 5 years of commercial service experience.
• Valid Driver License.
• Clean Criminal Background and Driving Record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains, manages and upgrades existing electromechanical and electronic installations and systems.
• Installing, bending, and removing conduit, wire pulling and terminations.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and complete small and medium sized jobs with minimal oversight.
• Handle service call appointments by inspecting electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures and systems.
• Must be open to some night and weekend work and a on call schedule.
• Responds to emergency calls for various types of electrical failures and shutdowns.
• Organizes, schedules and monitors work assignments.
• Research technical product specifications, while comparing and evaluating product prices from vendors to determine the most competitive bid.

We are currently seeking 2 Journeyman Electricians - Service Technicians to join our Service Department. In this role, you will perform service calls, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, complete repairs, and support commercial service and construction projects throughout the Houston, Texas area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains, manages and upgrades existing electromechanical and electronic installations and systems.


• Installing, bending, and removing conduit, wire puling and terminations.


• Ability to read and interpret plans and complete small and medium sized jobs with minimal oversight.


• Handle service call appointments by inspecting electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures and systems.


• Must be open to some night and weekend work and a on call schedule.


• Research and analyze causes of failures.


• Repair, replace and install new equipment/components and related hardware to maximize function ability.


• Provides preventive maintenance and ensure safe and clean operating conditions.


• Prepares and updates various records, logs and reports related to the work being performed.


• Responds to emergency calls for various types of electrical failures and shutdowns.


• Organizes, schedules and monitors work assignments.


• Research technical product specifications, while comparing and evaluating product prices from vendors to determine the most competitive bid.


• Assists in the inventory control management of electrical parts and components to provide appropriate supply levels.


• Inspects field locations to determine appropriate types and placement of electrical components for installation.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Journeyman TDLR Electrical license


• At least 5 years of Commercial experience in the Service field


• Must have valid Driver License


• Clean Criminal Background and Driving Record
